Publishing. Cooney established his publishing imprint, Red Eye Press in 1997 with the debut of his creator-owned comic book series, VALENTINE at Comic-Con International. Cooney has always had an interest in crime fiction, film noir, silent film and the 1920s that has been a source of creative inspiration for his current graphic novel series, THE TOMMY GUN DOLLS, a 1920s crime story set in San Francisco.
