In the midst of the Cold War, a race against time between the Vatican, the CIA, the KGB, and the Mossad could change the world order.

Vatican City, 1956. Pope Pius XII commissions Bishop Montini and one Pellegrino Ernetti, a young Benedictine monk, exorcist, and physicist, to look into the paperwork of Ettore Majorana, also a physicist, found in his cell, at the Calabrian monastery where he lived since his disappearance in 1938. From the Sicilian scientist's notes, Pellegrino undertakes the construction of the chronovisor, an artefact to visualize moments from the past. The Pope has placed all his hopes in this secret project to prove the veracity of the scriptures and restore the faith of the people in the Church.
