“I changed the boilerplate so that any Mallory son would be acceptable. That means even if they do scream, it won’t do them much good, as I am their son. No matter how much they wish it wasn’t so.”

He grinned again, showing his even, white teeth. “I also amended things so that that if you do have a child, you receive title to both your familial estate and the Mallory corporation immediately. So, you get both prizes and they get nothing except the exquisite pleasure of being in-laws.”

Jill reread the contract again more closely. It didn’t mention Jacques and the fine print did define son as he’d said. The other changes read exactly as he’d said in the small print she’d always ignored. The changes redefined the clauses in the body of the contract.

“Holy shit! Is that even legal?”

“Yes, it is very binding. They signed in front of witnesses just before I came to see you and I’ve taken the liberty of destroying the original version.”

She raised her eyes. “And what do you get out of this? It sounds like I get the prizes.”

His eyes traveled down her body. “For one thing, the very intimate pleasure of your company for as long as it takes to get you pregnant. And then there is my own revenge on my father for cutting me out of his will.”

“I think not. The crisis in the kitchen is quite real. I was a bad boy. Besides, I want to have you before my asshole brother does.”
