For help, they turn to a name they remembered the Channel Islands Colony mentioning, Drs. David and Marlene McAllister, who work for the oceanographer's institute and are mer people themselves.

The two introduce them to others in their circle and form a friendship that would lead to further adventures for them and the Channel Islands mermaids and

mermen.
