En el escenario del crimen, Iwata y Sakai encuentran un escalofriante sol negro pintado en el techo de la habitación. El inspector aún no ha podido desentrañar el significado de ese dibujo, pero el mensaje está muy claro: «Estoy aquí. No he terminado.»

Convencido de que la búsqueda no ha hecho más que empezar, que hay mucho más detrás de ese baño de sangre y que el asesino volverá a matar, Iwata hará todo lo posible para dilucidar un misterio que tiene aterrorizada a la población y ha puesto en jaque a las autoridades del país.
