Alfred Yaghobzadeh

Alfred Yaghobzadeh est né à Téhéran d'un père arménien et d'une mère assyrienne. Il commence à prendre des photos dans les rues de Téhéran, en 1979, pendant la révolution iranienne. Depuis, il a couvert des guerres et des situations de famine, des crises humanitaires et des événements politiques majeurs comme la chute du mur de Berlin et, pendant 13 ans, le conflit israélo-palestinien. Au Liban, pendant la guerre civile, il a été blessé et retenu en otage. Son livre « Les Chrétiens du Monde » est une exploration des traditions et des rites religieux dans 24 pays. « Paix Promise » rassemble son travail sur la Palestine et Israël. Son oeuvre a été couronnée par de nombreux prix, dont le 1^er prix du World Press, celui de l'American Overseas Press Club, et le NPPA.

Alfred Yaghobzadeh

Alfred Yaghobzadeh was born in Teheran from an Armenian father and Assyrian mother. In 1979, during the Iranian revolution, he began photographing in the streets of Teheran. He has covered wars, famine, feuds, political events and human crises around the globe including the fall of the Berlin wall and for over 13 years, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He was wounded and taken hostage in the Lebanese Civil War. His book, « Christianity around the World », is an exploration of religious rituals and traditions in more than 24 countries and his assiduous coverage of Palestine and Israel was published in « Promised Peace ». He has received many awards, among them the first prize of World Press Photo, the American Overseas Press Club and the NPPA.
