Explore English Student’s Coursebook: Stage 2 E-BOOK

Collins Explore English is a 6-level course which provides full coverage of the Cambridge Primary English as a Second Language curriculum framework (0057) from 2020. With a magazine-style Student’s Resource Book, comprehensive Student’s Coursebook, and supportive Teacher’s Guide, it offers clear progression within and across levels.The Student’s Coursebook is clearly linked to the Student’s Resource Book, both of which are fully supported in the Teacher’s Guide. It follows the same topic-based structure of units as the Resource Book, and includes a wide range of varied activities and exercises related to the input materials to develop and consolidate learning. The Coursebook is designed to be written into, so activities contain structured spaces for learners to record answers. The activities can be used as classroom tasks, for homework or for assessment purposes. The completed tasks give the teacher an opportunity to check work and give feedback. Learners have a consolidated record of their work and parents can see what kind of activities learners are doing in class.The Student’s Coursebook provides opportunities for the learners to consolidate and apply what they have learnt, and to relate what they are learning both to the environment in which they live and beyond, to other contexts. Much of the learners’ work is conducted in pairs or small groups in line with international best practice. The tasks and activities are designed to be engaging for learners and to support teachers in their assessment of learner progress and achievement.This innovative course has been designed to encourage maximum enjoyment and engagement by young learners, providing them with a fun and colourful Resource Book packed full of texts and illustrations to stimulate language learning. The corresponding Coursebook contains the activities relating to this input material. The Student’s Resource Book and Student’s Coursebook are used together to provide the full learning package for the student.The course takes an integrated skills approach to developing language skills with an emphasis on practical communication. It is designed with interactive learning at its heart and has been created to offer flexibility where this is beneficial while following a consistent approach so the course is easy to deliver. It is fully supported by a comprehensive Teacher’s Guide with detailed lesson plans that provide step-by-step guidance.This series is endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Education to support the new curriculum framework 0837 from 2020.
